BALTIC CENTER The Baltic Center (Reg. № 40008216586) is a non-governmental public organization and it carries out its activities in the directions of social and national integration: organizing of national-cultural events, forums, festivals, conferences, exhibitions, charity and free concerts, etc. Realized projects together with the Turkish Institute of Business, Commerce and Culture (TBCCI):
2010 – 2013. Project 
“RISEBA – TBCCI” • Exhibition of ancient geographical maps of Piri Reis and Kyatib Çelebi in the Riga City Council, exhibitions and master classes on water drawings “Ebru” and calligraphy, photo exhibitions of the Turkish and Latvian photographers, Turkish language courses, Turkish culture events with demonstration of Turkish films in Turkish with English subtitles, open lectures by Turkish professors, performances by Turkish artists, tastings of Turkish cuisine. • International Forum “Potential of Development of Relations between Latvia and Turkey in the Field of Economic Cooperation”. It was open by H.E. Ms. Şerife Serap Özcoşkun, the Ambassador of Turkey to Latvia and H.E. Mr. Jānis Mažeiks, Director General of the Department of Economics and Bilateral Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia. Support of the Project: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Fund of the Prime Minister of Turkey, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Turkey, Embassy of Turkey in Latvia, Riga City Council, Turkish Airlines, Bahcheshehir University (Istanbul), RISEBA ( Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration). 2014 – 2015. Project “Latvia and Turkey: 
Distant and Near” · Publishing of 1000 copies of the illustrated book “Latvia and Turkey: Distant and Near” in Latvian, Turkish, Russian and English with the dictionary at the end of the book also in four languages. The books were donated to the Turkish Embassy in Latvia, to foreign diplomats during the presentation of the book, to Latvian libraries, educational institutions, public organizations and Latvian national societies. Dozens of books along with the project participants - students of the ERASMUS program - were delivered to Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries · Shooting a 60-minute documentary film about the inhabitants of the Turkish nationality and other nationalities “We live in Latvia”, two-days discussion forum on integration issues, Latvian language courses, Turkish culture events, tastings of Turkish cuisine. Support of the Project: Latvian Ministry of Culture, Embassy of Turkey in Latvia, Foundation for Integration in Latvia, International Baltic Academy, RISEBA, Latvian University.

Project “International Festival of Chamber Opera in St. Petersburg” (Russia) Support of the Project: St. Petersburg Government and Committee for Culture, “St. Petersburg Opera” Chamber Music Theater, Riga City Council, LIVE RīGA, Echo of Riga, Agency “Eleana” December 2019 – December 2023. Project “Turkey: Distant and Close” The project will be implemented by the “BALTIC CENTER” together with the company “BEYOND BRANDS RIGA”.
THE PROJECT
IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD December 2019 – December 2023 The Project “Turkey: Distant and Close” is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey and it will be realized in the period proclaimed by the UN General Assembly and the UNESCO as the 10 years International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013 – 2022). PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES Turkey, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and Estonia are the countries participating in the Project, since their territories in IX-X centuries were historically connected to each other by a water trade route known as “Varangian”. This route from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea along the rivers of these countries (Daugava, Western Dvina) was used by merchants from Europe and Russia to trade with Istanbul. OBJECTIVES • To promote positive image of Turkey in the countries participating in the Project: Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and Estonia. • To contribute to promotion of business entrepreneurs from Turkey, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and Estonia through the participation of their companies in supporting and implementing the activities of the International Project “Turkey: Distant and Close”
PROJECT ACTIVITIES Within the frameworks of the Project “Turkey: Distant and Close” the following events and activities are planning to be held: • Shooting 100 clips under the title ”100 Colors of Turkey” • Publication of 5 illustrated photo albums with information about Turkey and the countries participating in the Project • Organizing of 3 international business forums together with partners and participation in them entrepreneurs from Turkey, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Estonia and other countries. • Organizing in Latvia exhibitions, photo exhibitions and events of Turkish, Latvian, Russian, Belarusian, Lithuanian and Estonian cultures

To have the right to get tax benefits for providing a financial support to the Project as “donations”, 2. To create the atmosphere of loyalty of the audience during the Project events: • to introduce a Partner or Sponsor of the Project to the guests of the events, • to give the right to a Partner or Sponsor to make a speech in the opening, • to demonstrate the logo or video clips about commercial structures of a Partner or Sponsor, • to give presents, souvenirs, gifts and awards on behalf of a Partner or Sponsor, etc.
 3. THE PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD December 2019 – December 2023 The Project “Turkey: Distant and Close” is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey and it will be realized in the period proclaimed by the UN General Assembly and the UNESCO as the 10 years International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013 – 2022). PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES Turkey, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and Estonia are the countries participating in the Project, since their territories in IX-X centuries were historically connected to each other by a water trade route known as “Varangian”. This route from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea along the rivers of these countries (Daugava, Western Dvina) was used by merchants from Europe and Russia to trade with Istanbul. OBJECTIVES • To promote positive image of Turkey in the countries participating in the Project: Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and Estonia. • To contribute to promotion of business entrepreneurs from Turkey, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and Estonia through the participation of their companies in supporting and implementing the activities of the International Project “Turkey: Distant and Close” PROJECT ACTIVITIES Within the frameworks of the Project “Turkey: Distant and Close” the following events and activities are planning to be held: • Shooting 100 clips under the title ”100 Colors of Turkey” • Publication of 5 illustrated photo albums with information about Turkey and the countries participating in the Project • Organizing of 3 international business forums together with partners and participation in them entrepreneurs from Turkey, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Estonia and other countries. • Organizing in Latvia exhibitions, photo exhibitions and events of Turkish, Latvian, Russian, Belarusian, Lithuanian and Estonian cultures TEAM Svetlana Samburska

PROPOSAL FOR PARTNERS AND SPONSORS OF THE PROJECT The Baltic Center invites to cooperation in the International Project “Turkey: Distant and Close” businessmen who are interested in promoting a positive image of their commercial structures in Turkey, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and Estonia and proposes: 1. To have the right to get tax benefits for providing a financial support to the Project as “donations”, 2. To create the atmosphere of loyalty of the audience during the Project events: • to introduce a Partner or Sponsor of the Project to the guests of the events, • to give the right to a Partner or Sponsor to make a speech in the opening, • to demonstrate the logo or video clips about commercial structures of a Partner or Sponsor, • to give presents, souvenirs, gifts and awards on behalf of a Partner or Sponsor, etc.
 3. To place the logo of a Partner’s or Sponsor’s commercial structure in all the platforms: social networks, Project’ s website (www.turkish100project.org), during the Project events (international business forums, presentations of photo albums, exhibitions and others), on/in booklets, posters, photo albums, invitations (with the right to have a certain amount of them). 4. Partners or Sponsors have the right to organize and broadcast Project events, use every kind of photographs, visual, video or digital recordings of them. GALLERY
